NEYMAR reckons his friendship with ‘mates’ Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi is the reason behind Barcelona’s incredible success.
The South American trio have 103 goals between them this season as Barcelona bid for the treble.
And Brazilian Neymar has shone a light on the tight bond that drives the Catalans on.
He said, “We get along very well. Not only on the field, but mostly off it.
“Today I can say we became friends, and when that happens in football you help your mates even more during the matches.
“We developed a strong bond, being three South American players and ‘rivals’, it’s something very hard to accomplish, but we did it, playing together and forging a good friendship.
“But most importantly, it’s working well on the field.”
Barca face Arsenal in the Champions League second round at the Nou Camp tomorrow night.
And after brushing the Gunners aside 2-0 in North London, last season’s champions are hot favourites to make the last-eight.
They also sit eight points clear of Atletico Madrid at the top of La Liga and face Sevilla in the Copa del Rey final in May.
But the 24-year-old is not resting on his laurels as the campaign enters the home straight.
He continued: “I’m very happy about how the season has gone so far, but I want to improve in every match, every training session, so I can help my team-mates win more titles.”
