Jose Mourinho and Renato Sanches could be the first summer arrivals at Man Utd unless Louis van Gaal manages to cling on.
If Manchester United want to become a competitive force again they will need the help of Jorge Mendes.
As unpalatable as it might be for Reds, world football’s most (in?)famous agent should conclude Jose Mourinho’s protracted move to Old Trafford in the summer, with Mendes client Renato Sanches also likely to follow.
The Benfica midfielder could become the latest Mendes-United player, while Mendes played a huge role in Ed Woodward’s ‘coups’. Although they turned out to be flops, Angel di Maria’s and Radamel Falcao’s arrivals were greeted euphorically before David de Gea signed a new contract in September. Mendes, of course, represents all three of them.
United have scouted Sanches for months and the teenager could help energise a midfield often lacking mobility and impetus.
With Louis van Gaal’s shackles off, though, Portugal international Sanches could have a big role to play under Mourinho.
Other news coming in indicate that PSG coach Laurent Blanc is also interested in the United top job. It is evident that this ex-manchester united player has higher chances of the united job since he knows all about the club.
The other advantage that blanc has is that of accepting to coach the club with Giggs a thing that Mourinho might not allow.
