Kids Of Africa Marathon To Benefit Gov’t Schools With No Toilets By Peacock Kaweesa

Four government schools  with  no  toilet  facilities  to benefit from  this year’s charity  marathon scheduled  for  the 14th Oct 2018 and  organized by the Kids Of Africa children’s  home off  Entebbe road

These public schools include Kigero primary School, St Paul Bulenga, St Kizito Namagonde and Bugiri public school all located in Katabi town council. This  year’s  charity run  is  aiming at
collecting  over  one hundred and seventy million shillings (shs170m) to  construct  different  toilet facilities  in  government aided schools.

The Kids Of Africa Deputy Director Florence  Barigye  made the official communication on Tuesday after identifying four different public schools  with poor  sanitation and hygiene.

She  added  that this  year’s  objective  is to  raise  shs172m  to  construct  4 modern  toilet  facilities  in different public schools. Participates are expected  to pay shs20,000/= for  marathon kits   at different registration  outlets  including  Diamond Trust building, Grand Imperial , Katabi Town Offices, Kids of Africa and others.

Over 1000 runners are expected to participate in this year’s  charity run  in different categories including 5kms,10kms and 20kms. The marathon is
expected to start at 6:30am and the first three from different categories to win medal and cash prizes.
