Tuesday, March 19th, Centenary Bank entered into a partnership with Police Football Club worth Shs10M for the remainder of the season.
The development unveiled by Police Football Club chairman Assistant Inspector General of Police Asan Kasingye and Centenary Bank Managing Director Fabian Kasi
“We have started in a humble way to sponsor the team with a view of exploring other ways of working with Police FC,” Mr Kasi said at the function before adding.
“The support gives an opportunity to the young people to put their talent to work and instil discipline in them and at the end of the day being able to grow into responsible citizens.”
Afande Kasingye revealed that they have been into negotiations with Centenary Bank for some time and he is happy to have reached this level.
“We are happy for the first time ever to have a partnership in Centenary Bank and it will help boost our performance as a team.”
He also added that police is the only team that players entertaining football which could have attracted the sponsorship and believe more will come on board.
Kasingye said they will work on modalities that will see players and police officers get accounts with the bank as a way of supporting and strengthening the partnership.
The ceremony was witnessed by senior police officers and officials from Centenary Bank.
