Rajiv Ruparelia, the son of property mogul Sudhir Ruperalia, through Ruperelia Foundation, has offered seven-year-old rapper Patrick Ssenyojo aka Fresh Kid a full scholarship to study at Kampala Parents School.
In a Facebook post, Rajiv says he was moved by Fresh Kid’s ambition given his age.
He stated that he hopes the scholarship will enable him become an influential person to the young generation.
“I met Fresh Kid today and I’m moved by his ambition given his age. Through Ruperelia Foundation, we are offering him a full scholarship to study at Kampala Parents School”, part of his message read.
Kampala Parents School is one of the academic institutions owned by Sudhir Ruperelia.
The development comes at a time when Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Florence Nakiwala and the rapper’s parents have been embroiled in counter accusations.
The minister proposed that the child rapper is taken to a boarding school. However, his parents rejected the idea saying he is the family’s breadwinner.
Also, they asked the minister to instead offer the help to their other children.
The scholarship comes as a sigh of relief since Kampala Parents School is a day school and better still, one of the top primary schools in Kampala with a holistic learning environment
