MTN Uganda hosts Muslim community to a special Ramadan dinner

MTN Uganda in conjunction with Salam TV Uganda hosted a special Ramadan dinner for their Muslim clientele, partners and media on Tuesday, 07 May 2019 at Hotel Africana and Convention centre to commemorate the start of the holy month of Ramadan.

MTN Uganda acting CEO, Gordian Kyomukama said that they were pleased to spend time with the Muslims as they begin the holy month of Ramadan. On behalf of MTN Uganda, he wished the Muslims the very best during the Ramadan season since it is a very special time of spiritual reflection, improvement and increased devotion and worship.

Salam TV Chairman, Kin Ibrahim Kariisa, commended MTN Uganda for their great work in the country and also conveyed his desire to keep working with MTN Uganda in the promotion of its brand in the country through the Next Media Services.

The MTN Chairman, Charles Mbire in his speech said that, they would like to reiterate that Ramadan is not only about fasting but helping people in need and encouraged everyone to remember those in need around them and share whatever little they have.

“Islam is a religion that encourages generosity in its followers, MTN dedicates the holy month of Ramadan to be generous to the needy and unfortunate within the Muslim community and society. Using Zakat which is an exemplification of generosity, we conduct generous deeds in various places in Uganda during Ramadan. This year our focus is on Hospitals where we shall provide various food items.” MTN Uganda Social Media Post.
