Maj Gen Birungi replaces Don Nabasa as new SFC Commander


Maj Gen James Birungi has been appointed as the commander of the Special Forces Command (SFC). Maj Gen Birungi who has been the Uganda People’s Defence Air Force (UPDAF) chief of Staff replaces Maj Gen Don Nabasa who has been sent for training, according to highly placed sources. “Maj Gen Nabasa is heading out for a course. UN health agency identifies 5-year-old Congolese boy as first confirmed case of Ebola in Uganda


The World Health Organization (WHO) and Ministry of Health, confirmed on Tuesday the first case of the deadly Ebola virus in Uganda, stemming from the nearly year-long current outbreak in neighbouring Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
