Through just two convincing wins, Ugandans back here are feeling proud and, are well, thanking the Uganda She Cranes-the Netball team currently in the English city-Liverpool for the ongoing Netball World Cup.
Too, the gallant girls have progressed to the next round of the Netball World Cup after beating Scotland 52-43 on Sunday afternoon and finish second behind England in their group.
The She Cranes had first registered their first win of the tournament, 69-48 over Samoa on 13th-Friday this month. The She Cranes brought the X-factor into the World Cup Sunday in what was the most entertaining game of the tournament this far.
It was never in doubt that the Uganda She Cranes would advance to the second stage of the Netball World Cup.
The win meant Uganda finishes second behind England in Group D and together with third-placed Uganda start their preliminary stage two schedule with a fixture against Trinidad & Tobago Monday followed by South Africa on Wednesday and then take on Jamaica on Thursday. The She Cranes will need to finish among the top two in Group G to qualify for the semifinals.
